1. TREATING THE VAGUS NERVE LIKE A TOGGLE SWITCH

One of the biggest misconceptions is that the vagus nerve is a simple "on/off" switch for relaxation. People often approach exercises with a "more is better" mentality. However, when your system is in a state of chronic high-alert, forcing a "relaxation" signal can actually trigger a counter-stress response.
