What I Actually Do Each Week to Support My Regulated Body

Warrior, I know how it feels.

I know the weight of the search: the endless scrolling through forums, the stacks of "normal" lab results that feel like a slap in the face, and the quiet, nagging fear that maybe your body is just broken. You’ve been told it’s all in your head, or worse, you’ve been given a handful of supplements and told to "manage" your symptoms.

In my practice, I don’t believe in managing symptoms. I believe in decoding the sequence.

When you feel scared and frustrated because your digestion is a mess or your skin is constantly reactive, your body isn't failing you. It is communicating. It is sending a high-frequency SOS signal through a complex web of biochemical communication and neurogenic signaling. My job: and what I want to teach you: is how to answer that call.

We often think of health as a random collection of events, but it is actually a precise sequence of patterns. To move from a state of chronic "mystery" illness into a state of vibrant health, we must intentionally signal safety to the nervous system. We must facilitate the transition into what I call the Patty State.

Patty State (Pat-tee Stayt) noun

  1. A physiological and biochemical environment characterized by ventral vagal activation, where the nervous system signals safety, allowing the body to transition from survival-based defense to cellular regeneration and systemic restoration.
  2. The foundational "healing headquarters" where the body prioritizes rest, repair, and optimal nutrient absorption over defensive survival mechanisms.

IT’S NOT ABOUT PERFECTION; IT’S ABOUT SIGNALING.

One of the most common mistakes people make when trying to "fix" their health is chasing perfection. They want the perfect diet, the perfect workout, the perfect 4:00 AM routine. But your nervous system doesn't care about perfection; it cares about neuroception: the subconscious evaluation of whether or not you are safe.

Each week, I focus on a specific set of inputs designed to inform my nervous system that the "war" is over. I use a structured framework to ensure my biology is receiving the signals it needs to maintain a regulated state. Below is the objective protocol I follow to support my own biochemical baseline.

DATES OF SERVICE: Monday - Sunday
PROTOCOL ID: NR-06-2026
PATIENT: Amanda E. Wentland

[06:30 - 06:50] // PHOTIC SIGNALING
   - 15-20 min direct morning sunlight (no sunglasses)
   - Goal: Circadian rhythm entrainment and cortisol-melatonin sequencing.

[08:00 - 18:00] // BIOCHEMICAL BUFFERING
   - 3-4 protein-rich meals (approx. 30g protein per serving)
   - Goal: Blood sugar stability; prevention of hypoglycemia-induced Sam State (survival signaling).

[09:00 - 21:00] // NEUROGENIC POSTURE RECALIBRATION
   - Hourly checks: Soft jaw, open chest, feet grounded.
   - Goal: Disrupting the "bracing pattern" that signals threat to the brainstem.

[12:00 / 15:00] // DOPAMINE MODULATION
   - Cold water splashes to the face and neck.
   - Goal: Vagal tone stimulation and neurotransmitter regulation.

[22:00 - 06:30] // CELLULAR REGENERATION
   - 7.5 - 9 hours of total sleep in a dark, cool environment.
   - Goal: Glymphatic clearance and tissue repair.

THE BIOCHEMISTRY OF THE MORNING: PHOTIC SIGNALING

Every morning, I step outside for 15 to 20 minutes of sunlight. This isn't just about "getting fresh air." From a neurogenesiology perspective, this is about providing the brain with the precise data it needs to set the metabolic clock.

When photons hit your retina, they trigger a cascade of biochemical communication that tells your hypothalamus exactly where you are in time and space. This signal regulates your cortisol spike: which you need for energy: and prepares your melatonin production for twelve hours later. For the Warrior who is stuck in a cycle of "tired but wired," this is the first step in decoding your fatigue. Without this signal, your body remains in a state of chronological confusion, which the nervous system interprets as a lack of safety.

IT’S HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT: THE POWER OF POSTURE

In my practice, I often see clients who are doing "all the right things" but are still stuck in a survival loop. Often, the missing piece is their physical posture.

The nervous system uses five primary "languages" to determine safety: external, internal, thoughts, emotions, and postural. If your shoulders are rolled forward, your jaw is clenched, and your chest is tight, you are physically mimicking the "fetal position" of defense. Your brain receives this information and concludes: If she is bracing, there must be a threat.

I perform daily "posture checks." I intentionally soften my jaw: dropping the tongue from the roof of the mouth: and open my chest. This is a deliberate neurogenic signal that tells the brain: I am safe enough to be vulnerable. You cannot heal while you are bracing for impact.

BLOOD SUGAR AS A SAFETY SIGNAL

We talk a lot about nutrition, but we often forget that blood sugar is a primary safety signal. When your blood sugar drops too low, your body doesn't just see a lack of calories; it sees a famine. This triggers a release of adrenaline and cortisol: the "survival chemicals": to pull glucose from your liver.

If you are already stressed and frustrated, these extra surges of adrenaline can push you straight into a "Sam State" (the state of survival). This is why I prioritize protein-rich meals throughout the week. By keeping my blood sugar stable, I am providing a biochemical buffer that prevents my nervous system from overreacting to the daily stressors of life. We are essentially teaching the body that resources are abundant.

THE SEQUENCE OF RESTORATION

When we combine these habits, we aren't just "feeling better." We are changing the actual expression of our health. We are moving from a state where the body is fighting itself to a state where the body can finally enter the Patty State.

In this state:

  • Digestion resumes fully: The body can finally produce the enzymes and stomach acid needed for absorption.
  • Immune function strengthens: The "defense" budget is moved into "repair."
  • Hormones normalize: The demand for cortisol decreases, allowing for the healthy production of reproductive and thyroid hormones.

This is the neurogenesiology advantage. We are not just treating symptoms; we are rewriting the biochemistry of the nervous system at its roots.

ARE YOU READY TO DECODE YOUR PATTERN?

Warrior, your symptoms are not a life sentence. They are a map. If you have been wandering through the conventional medical system and coming up empty, it is likely because no one has helped you look at the sequence of your signals.

We are evolving healthcare by looking at the "innate blueprint" of the body. We are moving away from reactive management and toward systematic understanding. Whether you are an individual looking for a way out of the misery of chronic illness, or a practitioner looking for the clinical clarity to truly help your clients, there is a structured path forward.

For Individuals Seeking Healing:
If you are ready to stop guessing and start decoding the patterns behind your symptoms, I invite you to schedule a strategy consultation. We will look at your history, your chemistry, and your signaling to create a clear, sequenced plan for your recovery.
