Enjoying a cool summer treat doesn't have to come with loads of artificial ingredients, sugars, additives, dyes, and mucous creating ingredients.
Eating for your body is fun too! Creating "Nice Creams" is a fun experiment in the real of fruit flavor. There are so many; they are tart, sweet, tangy and sour. With fruit that have a sweetness all their own, why add artificial sweeteners?
In my picture, my nice cream has melted a bit because I wasn't PLANNING on posting on it, but it was just too delicious once I took that first bite, so then I grabbed my computer and started typing... thus the melty-melterton. But really, the thickness is up to you. I like mine super thick so I make sure everything is frozen, and I add only enough cranberry juice for the Ninja to be able to blend it. You can put it in the freezer, but without traditional additives (like antifreeze, yuck) it WILL get firmer, icy and hard, not the soft creamy smoothness it is when first done. How DO traditional ice cream makers keep it so soft and creamy after it's been frozen?
Try this "nice cream" instead of traditional ice creams on a hot sunny day. The flavor might surprise you!
Berry Berry Nice Cream
1/2 frozen banana
1/4 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup frozen blueberries
1/4 cup cranberry juice
1/2 scoop collagen protein (optional, but why avoid it? It only does good things!)
I also add my probiotics to this. Green powders are also a tasty easy nutritive addition.
