Combine and blend until smooth:
1 small red beet (if using a Vitamix or very good blender, use a raw beet. If using a poor quality blender, slightly steam the beet first)
1 half of a lemon, squeezed
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 cup frozen raspberries
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/2 cup cold water
1 scoop plain, berry, or vanilla flavored protein powder
(Try also adding a handful of goji berries)
