The ONE HUGE Game Changer You're Most Likely Missing In Your Diet

Bananas, apples, beans, onions, leeks, chia.  What do all these foods have in common?

Whether the goal is weight loss, or health gain, there is one thing that you are most likely missing in your diet, or at least mis-understanding!  It might even give some cause to see why we want to eat what we should eat.  

Probiotics have become a kitchen word, and that's great!  Progress!  However, supplemental probiotics are not YOUR good bacteria.  They are good and can be helpful in righting the imbalanced gut flora in your gut, however, if you aren't feeding them, it could simply be a huge waste of time and money.  

You'll see supplements all over the market, and they have a place and a purpose, but I'm always looking for how we can get what we need out of what we consume.  That makes sense, right?  So I wanted to give a good idea of what foods have PREBIOTIC foods in them, to feed the good bacteria already in your gut, and to support the probiotic supplements and/or foods you are taking.  What's interesting to me is they are the very VEGETATION foods I keep saying we are needing, AND they are the very foods we are NOT eating.  

Foods like:

Jicama (yacon), Jerusalem artichoke, and chicory root all contain inulin, a form of prebiotic fiber.  How often do you eat these?  Have you EVER eaten these?


Dandelion greens are leafy green vegetables that are made up of 25% prebiotic fiber.  You chemically keep these from your yard, correct?


Garlic, onion, leeks, chives, and scallions and other vegetables that contain allium are great choices. Add them to food raw for the best source of prebiotics.  How often do you eat these?  Do you even know what scallions are?  And how many RAW foods are you eating?


Wheat germ, whole wheat berries  Yeah, not in our commercialized "breads"


Avocado


Peas


Soybeans  How much bad rap have soybeans been getting?


Potato skins


Apple cider vinegar (organic)

OF COURSE you can take prebiotics in the form of supplements, but I always try to get what I need out of food.  As you know, though, it takes work, and slightly moving away from convention to be able to do this.  I would love to hear ANY stories of ANY of you that go to ANY restaurant and asks for Jicama.  Let me know what happens!
